Responsibilities

• Report all process nonconformities to shop supervisor immediately.
• Instruct loaders and shop helpers on production needs.
• Other duties may be assigned by Director of Operations or Plant Manager.

Job description

• All operators must continually monitor their assigned machine during production for unusual variances in the following: coolant levels, load meter, cycle times, chip appearance and sounds
• Report all process nonconformities to shop supervisor immediately to prevent possible product nonconformities.
• Other duties may be assigned as determined by the Director of Operations, or Plant Manager
• Instruct loaders and shop helpers on what is needed to run production

Skills

• Haas and Fanuc controls (preferably Haas experience)
• Ability to read and understand blueprint dimensions/Specifications
• Basic shop math knowledge
• Threading and drilling experience required
• Simple G and M code knowledge
• Ability to edit speeds and feeds
• Experience machining Steel, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Titanium, Copper, and Brass
• Ability to multitask and run minimum 2 machines at a time
• Must have ability to use inspection tools (Micrometer, Pitch mic, height gage, Dial caliper, Depth mic, Comparator)

Education

• Attended basic machine operation training class
