Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOpenwork is currently engaged in a search to find a CNC Machine Operator in College Park, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a CNC machine. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below. In a CNC Machine Operator job you’ll be responsible for:

1. Loading lens blanks into CNC edgers or grinder and select or input programs to guide operations.
2. Setting tool parameters based on the lens designs and material specs.
3. Utilizing CNC - equipped edgers to cut and shape lenses to the exact contour of frames.
4. Operating grinding and polishing machines to create smooth, precise optical surfaces.
5. Performing dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, and lensometry to confirm lens curvature, bevel width, and edge smoothness.
6. Visually inspecting lenses for defects like chips, scratches, or uneven edges before and after engraving.
7. Monitoring machine operations to detect malfunctions and performing minor adjustments,
8. Conducting routine maintenance.
