Job description

CNC Machine Operator – Night & WEShift – Asheville – Up to $23.00/hr

PrideStaff is recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator for Night and WEShift at a manufacturing company in Asheville.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Load CNC machines with raw materials.
2. Perform end-of-line inspection of machined parts (visual and hard gaging).
3. Conduct quality sorts to address poor quality issues.
4. Collaborate with quality team when issues arise.
5. Perform in-process measurements to ensure part quality.
6. Make tool wear offsets as needed to meet customer specifications.
7. Change inserts in machines as needed.
8. Conduct daily preventative maintenance (refilling fluids, filter replacements, etc.).
9. Maintain a safe and productive environment through daily 5S actions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. At least 2 years of machine shop experience, including 1 year of CNC experience.
2. High school diploma or equivalent; progress toward journeymen certification or 2-year machinist certification is preferred.
3. Experience in automotive production is a plus.
4. Basic math and computer skills.
5. High attention to detail.
6. Ability to read manufacturing documents, work instructions, and procedures.
7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and precision measuring tools.
8. Ability to lift 25 lbs repeatedly.

Hours of Work:

Night Shift – Monday to Thursday, 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM

Compensation: Up to $25.00 per hour
