Job Responsibilities:

  1. Set up, operate, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including milling machines and lathes
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to produce machined parts to exact specifications
  3. Program, edit, and optimize CNC machine operations for efficiency and quality
  4. Perform quality checks on machined parts using precision measuring instruments
  5. Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines and programs
  7. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and tools
  8. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
  10. Document production data and maintain accurate records
  11. Train and mentor junior machinists as needed
  12. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Proficiency in operating CNC milling machines and lathes
  • Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CAM software
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent understanding of metalworking processes and machining techniques
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good mathematical skills and ability to perform complex calculations
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and ISO standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications
