Job description

Join to apply for the CNC Machine Operator role at Perryman Company.

Description

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

1. Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
2. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
3. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
4. Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.
5. Deburr and clean final parts.
6. Consult with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
7. Use basic inspection equipment and techniques.
8. Read and interpret documents such as blueprints and operation sheets.
9. Apply basic shop math, including algebra and geometry.
10. Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
11. Bend, stoop, and stand for 8-12 hours a day.
12. Work rotating shifts.
