Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Install, replace, and maintain motors, drives, bearings, sensors, gearboxes, pumps, and other machine components.
- Perform machine alignments, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain equipment accuracy and performance.
- Support machine setup, commissioning, and equipment relocation projects.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements and company policies.
- Support shipping and receiving machine parts including deliveries and pickup.
- Support with quality checks on finished machine parts.
- Support shop organization and cleanliness.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machine tools and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with PLCs, CNC controls, servo motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial automation systems preferred.
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
- Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally.
- Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards.
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
