Pay: $20.00–$29.00/hour | Full-Time | 3rd Shift

About the Opportunity

Atlas Fibre is seeking dependable CNC Machine Loaders for our 3rd shift in Northbrook, IL.

This is a hands‑on manufacturing position focused on loading and unloading CNC machines, keeping production moving, monitoring machine cycles, and checking parts for quality. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.

Location: 3411 Woodhead Dr, Northbrook, IL 60062

What You’ll Do
  • Load raw material and parts into CNC machines according to blueprints, work instructions, and production requirements.
  • Unload completed parts and prepare machines for the next production cycle.
  • Read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, job travelers, and work instructions to verify correct material, dimensions, and part orientation.
  • Start and monitor machine cycles after the machine has been properly set up.
  • Ensure materials and parts are positioned correctly before starting the machine.
  • Monitor machines during production and report alarms, unusual sounds, quality concerns, or machine issues to the appropriate supervisor or setup personnel.
  • Perform visual inspections of completed parts.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify parts when required.
  • Identify and separate parts that may not meet quality requirements.
  • Keep machines supplied with material to maintain consistent production throughout the shift.
  • Complete basic production documentation and part counts.
  • Follow established production procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Follow FOD, PPE, machine‑guarding, and composite‑dust safety requirements.

  • Ability to work 3rd shift consistently.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use or learn measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive during an overnight shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive production tasks.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This position works primarily on the manufacturing floor in our CNC machining environment. Employees will spend most of the shift standing, walking between machines, loading and unloading material and finished parts, and monitoring production.

The position involves normal manufacturing noise and exposure to composite dust. Employees must be able to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
