Job description

The CNC Machining Foreman leads daily CNC machining operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising machinists, coordinating workflow, and supporting efficient, high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead CNC machinists and operators
• Assign daily work and monitor job progress
• Oversee CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting
• Ensure parts meet blueprint and tolerance requirements
• Verify first-piece and in-process inspections
• Train and mentor operators on machine setup and safe work practices
• Coordinate job sequencing to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
• Enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping standard
• Communicate production status and issues to management

Required Qualifications:

Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Working knowledge of G-code, tooling, and machine setup

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of CNC machining experience

Manufacturing or heavy fabrication environment

Experience with steel and other structural materials Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work on a fabrication shop floor with exposure to noise and heat.

Comfortable standing, walking, and moving components as needed.

Able to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
