Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a hands-on CNC Machining Lead in Naugatuck, CT to drive programming, setup and process development for high-precision manufacturing. You will lead launches, mentor operators, and partner with engineering and quality to ensure safe, efficient production.

The role requires strong G-code/CAM skills, blueprint reading, and experience with multi-axis and Tsugami equipment. ISO/AS9100 knowledge is a plus, with a collaborative tech-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in G-code and CAM programming for multi-axis CNCs.
• Experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC turning, milling, or Swiss-type machines.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret GD&T accurately.
• Strong leadership and mentoring of machinists.
• Experience selecting tooling, workholding and inspection methods for tight-tolerance parts.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, operate, and optimize multi-axis CNC turning, mill-turn, and Swiss-type machines (Tsugami equipment).
• Lead new job launches from blueprint review through first-article production.
• Develop and maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling docs, and process standards.
• Perform machine setups, prove-outs, and first-piece inspections.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Train and mentor CNC operators on setups, machine operation, and best practices.
• Support AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage tooling, workholding, and CNC-related inventory.
