Job summary

Certified PowerTrain is seeking a Working Supervisor – CNC Machining (3rd Shift) in Wisconsin to lead a hands-on off-shift team. You will operate CNC lathes and mills, set up tooling, and ensure parts meet print specifications while maintaining safety and productive shift performance.

You will coach, mentor, and problem-solve with machinists, document quality data, and push for continuous improvement in processes and tooling to maximize quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on CNC lathe/mill experience, including horizontal and vertical centers.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or lead machinist role, preferably on 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Proficient English communication and documentation of production data and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC machines, including tooling, offsets, and deburring.
• Manufacture components per engineering prints and specs with accuracy.
• Lead off-shift team, coach machinists, and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Triage and troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Coordinate with planning and maintenance to sustain schedule and uptime.
• Drive process improvements in tooling, fixturing, and workflows to boost productivity.
