Job summary

Durex Industries is seeking a CNC Lead to guide daily machining operations, ensure quality, and uphold safe practices on the floor in Cary, IL. You will supervise CNC operators, coordinate production priorities, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include setup calibration, inspection oversight, maintenance planning, and mentoring operators. The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years CNC experience and comprehensive knowledge of G-code and drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience with proven leadership capability.
• Knowledge of G-code, cutting tools, and holders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining preferred.

The Role

As the CNC Lead, you will provide daily leadership to CNC machining operations by overseeing operators, coordinating workflow, ensuring part quality, and maintaining safe and efficient machining practices. You will drive production performance through effective communication, equipment oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining preferred.
• Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience with proven leadership capability.
• Knowledge of G-code, cutting tools, and holders
• Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience training or supervising CNC operators.
• Experience implementing production or process improvements.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 hourly (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)
