Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Spring Grove, IL is hiring a CNC Lathe / Swiss Lathe Setup & Operator to join a small, fast-paced shop. You will set up Haas ST-10 and Star Swiss lathes, read blueprints, and ensure part quality.

Ideal candidates have hands-on CNC lathe experience, including Haas and Star Swiss equipment, and strong problem-solving and attention to detail in a tight-knit environment. This is a 1st shift, temp-to-hire role with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Experience with Haas and Star Swiss lathes preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and production specifications.
• Strong measuring and inspection skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas ST-10 and Star Swiss lathe machines.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Perform tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and communicate with team.
• Assist with continuous process improvements.
