Job summary

Fairchild Precision Parts in Winsted, Connecticut, is seeking a CNC Lathe Setup Tech & Operator with 3+ years of experience to own tooling, setup, run production, and verify tolerances.

You will read drawings, set up lathes (Fanuc controls) and work with QA to resolve discrepancies, while maintaining records and following safety policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Tool, set up, and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts to production needs and customer specifications
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep an organized, clean work area
• Keep detailed records of machine setups, production runs, quality checks, and maintenance
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve product discrepancies and maintain measuring devices and equipment
• Flag product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and other production risks to your supervisor
• Suggest improvements to efficiency, communication, and quality
• Follow safety regulations and company policies

Machines, controls and software

You’ll run CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. Experience on Citizen/Miyano and Daewoo/Doosan equipment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with an ERP system (ProShop preferred) is a plus, as is exposure to precision inspection equipment such as Keyence systems, optical comparators, concentricity gages, and profilometers.

Pay, benefits and schedule
