Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes for precision hydraulic and pneumatic components. You will interpret engineering drawings, create CNC programs, and verify parts to print, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong math, blueprint reading, and attention to detail, with experience in Mazak Mazatrol, Mazak Fusion, and Fanuc controls preferred. Safety and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

  • Requires G Code proficiency and experience programming and operating CNC lathes.
  • Must read and interpret blueprints, maintain measurement tools, and ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Experience with Mazak Mazatrol, Mazak Fusion, and Fanuc Controls is preferred; ability to program gantry robots a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts.
  • Write, store, and retrieve CNC programs and verify parts against drawings.
  • Prioritize work orders and maintain safe, efficient operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.

Job Title: CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator 1981Department: CNCFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition Overview:The CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator will play a critical role in the production of high-quality hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components that meet exact specifications and quality standards. The individual will interpret engineering drawings, create CNC programs, and perform machine setups while ensuring efficient production processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective cylinder components.Essential Duties: (Additional duties may be assigned as required.)• Produce quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and final machining all components.• Write, store, and retrieve programs for machined parts.• Prioritize work orders for timely completion to accommodate customer needs.• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.• Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair equipment as needed.• Set up, program, finish machine, and verify parts to print.• Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints and/or specifications to calculate dimensions, tool selection machine speed and feed rates.Requirements:• G Code proficiency is a must• Skilled in programing and operating CNC Lathes• Competent with Mazak Mazatrol, Mazak Fusion, and Fanuc Controls• Mazak experience preferred.• Able to read and interpret blueprints.• Strong math skills• Programming gantry robots, bar feeders, and sub spindles a plus• Able to use inspection equipment such as micrometers, depth mic’s, thread gauges, and calipersQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
