Job summary

JEMMS-Cascade, based in Troy, Michigan, is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist. The role involves programming, setting up, proving out, and machining complex precision components on Eurotech and Okuma lathes, with live tooling and Y-axis capabilities.

You will work closely with Engineering to optimize tooling strategies, cycle times, and part quality, taking ownership from blueprint through finished part on a stable first-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC lathe machining experience.
• CNC programming experience.
• Ability to independently set up and prove out CNC lathe jobs.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, prove out, and operate Eurotech and Okuma CNC lathes.
• Produce precision components from blueprint through final inspection.
• Program complex gear-related parts and specialty machined components.
• Select tooling, workholding, fixtures, and machining strategies.
• Set offsets and make program adjustments at the machine.
• Work directly with Engineering to solve machining challenges.
• Improve machining processes to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot tooling, setup, programming, and quality issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
