Job summary

Torrey Holistics in New Baltimore, MI is seeking an experienced CNC lathe programmer/operator to set up, run, and verify parts to customer specifications. You will program with Mastercam, select tools, and document production and quality results.

Applicants should have 10+ years in CNC lathe programming and operation, be proficient with gauges, micrometers and calipers, read blueprints, and maintain high tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years programming/set-up/operating in CNC Lathe.
• Ability to program using Mastercam.
• Ability to use measuring instruments e.g. gauges, micrometers, calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Program using Mastercam and set-up/operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts to customer specifications.
• Verify machine settings by measuring positions and first-run parts.
• Inspect and measure machined parts to ensure blueprint specifications are met.
• Monitor dimensions and make adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.

Responsibilities:Programming using MastercamProgram with live tooling, set-up & operate a variety of CNC lathe machines and equipment, and machine parts from customer-stated specificationsEnsure parts are machined to customer specificationsVerify machine settings by measuring positions and first-run parts.Inspect and measure machined parts to ensure blueprint specifications are met.Monitors dimensions and makes adjustments as required to maintain tolerances.Document actions by completing production and quality logs as required.Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.Comply with all company processes, procedures, quality directives and safety procedures.Performs other duties as assignedKnowledge, skill, experience and minimum education required:Minimum 10+ years programming/set-up/operating in CNC LatheAbility to program using MastercamAbility to use measuring instruments e.g. gauges, micrometers, calipersAbility to set-up & make editsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to read and understand CNC programming in order to verify parts are machined to meet requirements.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and does so with minimal supervision
