Job summary

Anderson Dahlen Inc. is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator III to set up and run a variety of CNC lathes, reading CAD drawings and working with Fanuc controls. You will plan and perform precision machining and verify parts with precision measuring tools in a fast-paced shop.

We value accuracy, independent work, and teamwork. Live tooling and Mastercam familiarity are a plus. Day shift options with 30–40 hourly wage and solid health benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of CNC lathe experience required.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Fanuc controls experience required; live tooling preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Mastercam experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Program, tool, and set up CNC lathes for production parts.
• Load programs and edit offsets to meet specifications.
• Manual programming and editing of coded programs as needed.
• Operate manual machining centers when required.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and CMM; document findings.

Wage Range

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $30-$42 hour.

Shift Information

• Day shift: work hours are 4/10 hour days, Monday-Thursday
• Night shift: work hours are 4/10 hour days, Monday-Thursday, 15% shift differential
• Weekend shift: work hours are 3/12 hour days, Friday-Sunday, 15% shift differential

Position Summary

The CNC Lathe Operator III is responsible for planning, setting up, and performing a wide variety of CNC machining operations, using various machine tools, jigs, and fixtures in the production of a wide variety of product parts as well as tooling items.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Proficient in the operation of CNC Lathes (Program, Tool, and Work Setup)
• Ability to load programs and edit offsets and code to produce parts within specification.
• Advanced Skills: Manual programming and ability to edit coded programs (On machine controller or from a desktop computer)
• Operate manual machining centers when required.
• Operate the machine shop hand equipment.
• Use various measuring equipment (Micrometer, Caliper, CMM, etc.)
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and machining CAD drawings.
• Measure and inspect parts as needed or required.
• Perform and document process inspection.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of CNC lathe experience is required.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Manage time efficiently.
• Must have Fanuc controls experience, and live tooling is preferred.
• Computer literacy in Mastercam is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently.

• Push/Pull-0-25 lbs. continuously, 26-100 lbs. frequently, Bend- 34-66% during a 10/12-hour shift
• Twist/Turn- 34-66% during a 10/12-hour shift
• Kneel/Squat- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift
• Sit- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift.
• Stand/Walk- 67-100% during a 10/12-hour shift
• Overhead Reaching- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift
• Ladder/Stair- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift
