Job summary

Mid-West Forge Corporation in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Assistant Operator to set up and operate CNC lathes and support the machining department’s duties. The role includes configuring the lathe, running automated cells with the robot, and ensuring quality per inspection sheets.

The ideal candidate will read part/process sheets, perform tool changes, and maintain equipment per safety guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read and interpret process sheets and part drawings.
• Must complete Mori Seiki online training.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes for assigned jobs and load parts.
• Operate CNC lathe cell, including integrated robot.
• Change or replace tools as required and maintain tooling.
• Perform periodic quality checks per inspection sheets.
• Document time tickets, scrap sheets and downtime logs.
