Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated in Fairfield, CT seeks a CNC Lathe Operator to set up and run multiple computerized turning machines to produce bearing components at optimum production and quality levels. You will interpret engineering prints, replace worn inserts, adjust offsets, and ensure tools operate within spec.

You will inspect your own work with precision gauges, maintain clean work areas, record production data, and report maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC turning machines, interpreting engineering prints and adjusting tooling as needed.
• Ability to read micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring instruments.
• Good basic computer skills for data collection and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe machines and related equipment to produce bearing components at required production and quality levels.
• Replace worn inserts or tools and adjust offsets to compensate for tool wear.
• Inspect own work using precision instruments and maintain accurate production records.
