Job summary

iHireManufacturing is seeking a Lathe Operator 2 for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM) to run Haas and live-tooling CNC lathes (Doosan, KIA). You will handle complex components, read blueprints, monitor tool wear, and perform in-process inspections.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2+ years in a manufacturing CNC lathe environment; live-tooling or multi-axis experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC lathe experience preferred.
• Experience with live-tooling or multi-axis lathes preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use standard inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate Haas and live-tooling CNC lathes per supervisor instructions.
• Load material, verify tooling, and start machining cycles.
• Monitor tool wear and adjust offsets or replace inserts as needed.
• Perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges.
• Maintain production counts and accurate inspection results.
• Communicate issues to leads and follow safety procedures.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist other machinists and setup personnel when required.
• Follow PPE requirements at all times.
