Job summary

Precinmac in Tualatin, OR is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator for an on-site day shift. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

Under general supervision, you will set up and operate CNC lathes, monitor tool life, adjust as needed, and inspect finished parts for conformance to drawings. You will read blueprints, verify dimensions with standard gauges, deburr parts, keep a clean work area, and support a safe, efficient production flow.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining; related experience may substitute.
• Minimum 1 year CNC lathe/milling experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator

Location: Tualatin OR

Day Shift: Monday thru Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm.

Salary range: $20 to $25 per hour

We are currently seeking CNC Lathe Operatorfor our Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin Oregon. (On-site position).

Summary:

Under general supervision, operate, monitor, and complete production jobs on CNC lathes in conformance with pre-determined instructions.

• Inspect parts to customer specifications from blue prints.
• Monitor tool performance and change out when required.
• Verify conformance to dimensions, alignments, and clearance of finished parts.

Education/Qualifications:

• Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining – relevant work experience may substitute for vocational training.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the operation of milling machines, lathes, and CNC equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and height/depth gauges.
• Ability to read blue prints and understand geometric tolerances.
• Must be a self-starter & self-motivated.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.

Work Setting

• A machining environment with frequent noise in an indoor seasonally air-conditioned and heated environment. Requires standing for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection) where required. May operate moving equipment (forklift) as required to perform essential job functions.
