Job summary

Precinmac is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist for a swing shift in Tualatin, Oregon. This on-site, full-time role offers a schedule from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am with a 10% differential and a pay range of $28.00 to $43.00 hourly.

The candidate will read drawings, start and monitor machines, set controls, and handle offset changes. Parts are measured with micrometers, calipers, and other gauges to ensure required tolerances.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands engineering drawings.
• Comfortable working with decimals and tight tolerances (thousandths).
• Sets up jobs and runs first part.
• Can adjust programs when required.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings.
• Starts and observes machine operation.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors.
• Performs process offset changes unassisted.
• Inspects parts with micrometers, calipers and other measuring tools.
• Verifies conformance of completed work.
• Operates lathes such as Mori Seiki, Hitachi Seiki, Nakamura Tome, Haas TL-2 and manual lathe.

CNC Lathe Machinist (Levels 1-3) - CNC Lathe Machinist

• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Starts and observes machine operation
• Calculates and set controls to regulate machining factors
• Process offset changes unassisted
• Check parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Verify conformance of completed work
• Working on lathes such as Mori Seiki (NLX2500, NLX3000, NLX4000, NZX2000), Hitachi Seiki, Nakamura Tome, Haas TL-2, Manual Lathe.

Requirements

• Ability to set up your own jobs and run first part
• Ability to adjust programs if required
