Job summary

Strange Engineering in Morton Grove, IL is seeking a motivated CNC Lathe Operator with at least 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate Mazak lathes, read blueprints, inspect parts, and uphold strict quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with teammates to meet production schedules, maintain a safe workspace, and continuously improve processes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience.
• Experience with Mazak machines preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled use of precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak lathe machines safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards.
• Operate multiple machines when required.
• Follow all safety procedures and work practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team to meet production deadlines.

Position Summary

Strange Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator with at least 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Mazak lathes, reading blueprints, inspecting precision parts, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak lathe machines efficiently and safely
• Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards
• Operate multiple machines when required
• Follow all company safety procedures and work practices
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
