Job summary

Aerotek in Edison, NJ is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to set up, program, and operate DN Solutions lathes with Fanuc 0i-Plus controls to produce tight-tolerance shaft components in exotic materials. You will develop efficient processes, perform in-process inspections, and work closely with a skilled machining team.

Role focuses on reading blueprints, verifying dimensions with calipers, and tweaking programs to maintain quality and accuracy while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes with steady rest and tail stock.
• Machining tight tolerance, complex shaft work in exotic materials.
• Ability to develop CNC lathe setups and programs for new shaft components.
• Follow and optimize existing processes and setups for repeat production.
• Experience with DN Solutions (PUMA) lathes and Fanuc 0i-Plus control.
• Strong CNC programming and measurement capabilities for lathe operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for precision machining.
• Proficiency using calipers and other measuring tools for in-process inspection.
• Attention to detail and accuracy with tight tolerance features.

Responsibilities
