Job summary

Lokar, Inc. in Knoxville, TN is hiring skilled Machinists and Equipment Operators to set up and operate multiple lathes in a clean manufacturing environment.

You will work with multiple equipment setups to meet production goals and ensure consistent flow and proper communication to prevent shortages or downtime. The role requires proficiency with CNC controls, reading prints, and using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Proficiency with CNC Controls.
• Ability to use common measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers).
• Understanding of general lathe/mill tooling.
• General understanding of G-Code.
• Experience with CNC Lathes; Haas experience preferred, not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting/moving up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work independently.
• Pre-employment drug screening provided by Lokar.

Responsibilities

• Safely setup and/or operate CNC and manual machines without assistance.
• Read prints and ensure parts meet specifications with inspection.
• Complete tasks per work orders and production schedules.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Production Manager.
• Maintain inventory and production documentation with accuracy.
• Execute daily procedures while keeping machines/facility clean.
• Work safely and follow company policies; participate in cross training.
• Perform other duties as needed.
