Job summary

Lokar in Knoxville, TN is seeking skilled Machinists and Equipment Operators to set up and operate CNC and manual lathes in a clean manufacturing environment, meeting production goals and ensuring part quality.

Responsibilities include reading prints, performing inspections, and maintaining proper tolerances. Proficiency with CNC controls (Haas preferred) and measuring tools is required; full-time hours from 7:30am to 4:00pm with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Proficiency with CNC Controls.
• Ability to use common machine shop measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers).
• Understanding of G-Code and CNC lathe/mill tooling.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate various machines (CNC & Manual) and maintain tolerances.
• Read prints and inspect parts to specifications with measuring tools.
• Complete work orders and production schedules with accuracy.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to Production Manager.
• Maintain inventory and production documentation; follow daily procedures and keep machines/area clean.
• Follow safety rules and participate in cross training; other duties as needed.
