CNC Lathe Machinist

Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Location: 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281

Shift: Full-time, Night shift

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or valid Permanent Resident status is required.

CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate aerospace production parts on CNC lathes
• Perform daily machine maintenance, including checking fluid levels and cleaning chips
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Understand CNC controls, including G & M program codes
• Manage tools, enter offsets, and replace worn or damaged tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, GD&T, and other standards
• Use basic inspection and measurement equipment to verify dimensions
• Conduct in-process inspection and record data accordingly
• Complete MOTs and job routers accurately
• Maintain correct part counts and record discrepancies
• Communicate job-related issues to lead personnel
• Report machine collisions or malfunctions
• Follow safety standards, protocols, and proper documentation procedures

Experience and Training Requirements:

• Proficiency with computer software and ERP systems
• Minimum of 5 years' experience operating CNC lathes
• Understanding of G & M codes for Fanuc-based programming
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and inspection standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or trade school certification
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand for most of the shift
