Job summary

Genfor Precision Components in Minnesota is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe operator for the second shift. You will manage 3-4 machines, read blueprints, perform tool changes, and conduct full product inspections and machine adjustments.

Set up experience is a plus, with responsibilities including maintaining tight tolerances, using micrometers/calipers/optical comparators, and documenting results on time. Requires strong measurement skills and adherence to work instructions.

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years with CNC Lathe Turning and be able to read blueprints.
• Read GD&T, perform full inspections, and adjust machines as needed.
• Experience with tight tolerances and measurement tools is required.
• Set up experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3-4 CNC lathe machines on second shift (2:30pm–1:00am).
• Read blueprints and GD&T, perform tool changes and in-process checks.
• Inspect products, adjust machines, and document results on time.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure consistent performance.

Job description

Genfor is looking for a skilled professional CNC Lathe operator for our second shift. Job would require operating 3-4 machines in a production facility. Must be able to read blue prints, tool changes, full inspections of product and machine adjustments.

Set up experience is desired but not required.

Hours are 2:30pm - 1:00am (Monday - Thursday)

• 6 years minimum with CNC Lathe Turning
• Ability to read, interpret blueprints and understand GD&T
• Read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, etc
• An understanding of tool wear
• Previous experience with tight tolerances +/-.0002
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines to insure consistent machine performance
• Able to follow work instructions
• Can complete documentation on time and as needed
