Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is partnering with a manufacturing client to hire a CNC Lathe Machinist for 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM). The role requires setup, operation, and adjustment of 5-axis CNC lathes with minimal supervision, and the ability to read blueprints and inspect parts.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 3-5 years' CNC lathe experience (3- and 4-axis), preferably aerospace, and be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC 3- & 4-Axis lathes.
• Aerospace background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Machining Centers. Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot controllers.
• Work from blueprint requirements, select tools, set feeds and speeds.
• Perform inspection of machined parts using precision hand tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work independently with minimal supervision.

About the job CNC Lathe Machinist (2nd shift)

Position: CNC Lathe Machinist Shift: 2nd | Hours: 3 PM - 11 PM Type: Full-Time | Mode: Direct Placement

Pay Scale: $25 - 32/hr | Industry: Manufacturing

Our Client is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist with at least 5-Axis Experience. The Candidate will be required to perform Setup, Operate, and Adjust Machines with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Machining Centers. Performs Machine Adjustments and Troubleshoots Controllers / Machines / Processes.
• Works from Blueprint Requirements. Selects Tools, Sets Feeds, and Speeds.
• Perform Inspection of Machined Parts using Precision Hand Tools.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Maintains a clean work environment and Shop Floor (Tools, Equipment, Machines, etc.) Re-order tools as needed.
