Job summary

Custom Marine is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to program, operate, and set up lathes with sub-spindles and live tooling. The role offers a four-day work week with overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits in a clean, modern shop environment.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating Doosan lathes, reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and adjusting programs to meet specifications. Training and advancement are possible within a strong team setting.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong G-Code programming knowledge (Fanuc I-Series).
• Familiarity with Mastercam is a bonus.

About this position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist, the ideal candidate will have experience programming, operating and setting up Lathes with Sub-Spindles and live tooling. We offer a clean work environment along with modern up to date equipment working a four day work week with overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC lathe to produce parts to specification paying close attention to detail
• Read and interpret blueprints and/or work instructions to understand project specifications
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished parts
• Ability to make program adjustments as needed to produce parts that meet print specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Manage priorities and adjust accordingly to meet customer needs

Requirements

• Prior experience operating CNC lathes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong understanding of G-Code programming using Fanuc ISeries Plus
• Familiarity with Mastercam software is a bonus
