Responsibilities

• Operate machines with minimal supervision.
• Use inspection tools effectively.
• Read blueprints and process control plans.
• Maintain daily documentation for equipment operated.
• Handle materials and operate cranes and forklifts.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with strong mathematical skills or trade school background.
• Experience with CNC and manual machining.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and use the Machinist Handbook.
• Experience with statistical process controls and Fanuc controls.
• Experience with long bed lathes is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment/Conditions:

• Weekend shifts included.
• Ability to work planned and unplanned overtime.
• On-site presence required.
