• Prior experience operating and setting up CNC Lathes.
• CNC Programming experience preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

• Inspect work, adjusting tool and machine offsets as needed.

What you’ll do

• CNC Machining: Efficiently operate CNC turning centers or swiss lathe such as Citizen, Star, or Tsugami for precision small-part machining.
• CNC Setup and Operation: Follow a setup sheet or look at a program on CAM and set up a job.
• Evaluate a part and come up with a plan to effectively make it.
• Inspecting your work and adjusting tool and machine offsets to make sure the parts are correct.
• Cutting tool and toolpath knowledge: You may be given the opportunity to push the limits of current cutting tool technology.

What you need to thrive in this role

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience operating and setting up CNC Lathes (Citizen, Star, or Tsugami)
• CNC Programming experience preferred (BUT NOT NECESSARY).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred.
• Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.

• Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to anticipate, think ahead and plan.
