Job summary

PrideStaff is partnering with a historic Northwest manufacturing leader in Portland, OR to recruit a CNC Lathe Operator for high‑volume production of precision components. You will set up, run, and maintain CNC lathes, reading blueprints and using Fanuc controls.

Expect competitive pay and strong benefits, with a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM swing shift option. The role requires 1+ year of CNC experience, blueprint skills, and the ability to lift heavy parts while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent, consecutive CNC lathe operating and setup experience (prefer Doosan Puma 2600 SY2).
• Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.
• Familiarity with CNC interfaces and Fanuc controls.
• Must be able to lift heavy materials, stand long durations, and maintain high manual dexterity.
• Able to perform basic math and use computers/mobile devices; English required for safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills according to job requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine machining processes.
• Input and adjust machine programs using Fanuc controls; ensure proper alignment.
• Inspect finished parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and document production runs and machine performance.
