Job summary

Precision Machining Co. in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinist & Operator to join their family-owned shop. You will set up and run CNC lathes to produce high-precision aerospace and commercial components, aiming for tolerances as tight as ±0.0005 and on-time production.

Candidates with their own tool set are preferred. The role requires 5 years of lathe and mill programming and setup experience, ability to read drawings, and careful inspection using micrometers,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years lathe & milling programming and set-up experience.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers, indicators, calipers and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe and milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure part conformance.
• Maintain tolerances of ±0.0005 and inspect parts during production.
• Work overtime when required and support production schedules.
• Keep tooling and setups organized and up to date.

Stable family owned company is looking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe machinist to work in their machine shop on very high profile parts. Tolerances of 1-5 tenths of an inch are required. Precision Machining Co. is a reputable manufacturer of precision aerospace and commercial components. We are currently accepting resumes for the position of a CNC LATHE Set-Up Machinist & Operator. We require those interested to be able to setup and operate our CNC machines to produce quality parts and meet schedules. Company is willing to compensate for a highly skilled machinist.
