Job summary

Microwave Techniques, LLC in Gorham, ME is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for first shift (6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday). You will set up CNC lathes per blueprint specifications, select fixtures and tools, and verify finished part dimensions using calipers and micrometers.

The role requires 2+ years of CNC lathe experience, knowledge of safe machine operation, and the ability to read GD&T and work with various metals and plastics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC lathe experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes according to blueprint specification.
• Select fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.

• Make minor programming changes as appropriate.

Our Components Division, located in Gorham, Maine is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist.

This role is Full-Time First Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up CNC lathes according to blueprint specification
• Selects the appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.
• Verifies dimensions and tolerances of finished products using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Modifies speeds and feeds based on product and material
• Makes minor programming changes as appropriate
• Maintains strong communication and documentation

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 2 or more years’ experience with CNC Lathes
• Knowledge of safe working practices and safe machine operation
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance
• Experience with various metals and plastic
• Technical aptitude and math skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with production deadlines
