Job summary

Quickprojobs is hiring a CNC lathe machinist for 1st shift in Cincinnati, OH. The role involves running your own setups, producing aerospace-grade parts to tight tolerances, and working with minimal supervision. Four 10-hour days, Fridays off, with a 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule.

You will set up and operate CNC lathes, read aerospace blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and inspect parts with precision tooling. Overtime and a strong benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC lathe experience required.
• Strong setup, tooling, and on-the-machine edit skills.
• Strong manual inspection skills and reading complex blueprints.
• Able to diagnose and resolve machining issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Change tools, adjust offsets, and make minor edits at the machine.

Location:Cincinnati, OH

Pay:$30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience

Job Type:Full time, direct hire

Schedule:Monday through Thursday,10-hourshifts, generally 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Awell-established aerospace manufacturer in the Cincinnati area is hiring an experienced CNC lathe machinist for 1st shift. You’ll run your own setups, work with minimal supervision, and produce precision aerospace parts to tight tolerances. Four 10 hour days, Fridays off.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and run CNC lathes (Femco, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, manual, VTL)
• Change tools, adjust offsets, and make minor edits at the machine
• Troubleshoot issues and make decisions on your own
• Perform 100% inspection with micrometers, height stands, calipers, bore mics, and dial indicators
• Read complex aerospace blueprints
• Hit production targets without giving up quality
• Help train and support teammates

What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of CNC lathe experience
• Strong setup, tooling, and on the machine edit skills
• Strong manual inspection skills
• Able to diagnose and resolve machining issues independently
• Good communication skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to Have

• Aerospace background
• NIMS or equivalent certification
• CNC programming (G-code, conversational, or CAM)
• CNC milling (Doosan, Haas, Makino)
• Wire EDM (Makino)
