Job summary

NxEdge, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a hands-on CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. You will read blueprints and travel instructions, program and setup CNC lathes, and run parts to tight tolerances on a production basis.

Ideal candidates have GD&T experience, at least 3 years of CNC machining or related apprenticeship, and strong attention to detail. We offer swing and day shifts with a safety‑driven culture and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (email, document handling)
• Knowledge of CNC Lathe programming using G-code and M-code

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, travelers and work instructions, including GD&T.
• Program and setup CNC Lathe machines.
• Identify process issues and suggest continuous improvement opportunities.
• Tend to machine tools to produce parts to specification on a production basis.
• Inspect machined parts using optical comparator, calipers, micrometer to verify tolerances.

We are seeking a driven, hands-on CNC Lathe Machinist to join our ever-growing company and team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions, including GD&T.
• Program and setup CNC Lathe machines.
• Identify process issues and suggest continuous improvement opportunities.
• Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces to specification on production basis.
• Lift work piece manually or using hoist; secure work piece in workholding device or load automatic feeding device.
• Start and monitor machining operations, making offsets and adjustments as needed.
• Inspect and measure machined work pieces - using instruments such as optical comparator, fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometer - to verify conformance to specifications.
• May perform basic deburring, sanding, filing, or finishing of machined parts.
• May clean machined components using approved cleaning or degreasing methods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Follow all safety policies and required PPE guidelines.

Qualifications:

• +3 years minimum CNC machining experience or Apprenticeship or College certificate of completion
• Basic computer skills such as e-mailing, opening, and printing documents and navigating windows/internet explorer.
• Working knowledge of CNC Lathe G‑code and M‑code programming.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds by self in safe manner.

We have multiple positions open on Swing Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) and one Day Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)
