Job summary

NxEdge is seeking a driven CNC Mill Machinist to join our team in Boise. You will read blueprints and GD&T, program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines, and monitor quality of produced parts on production lines.

You will load and secure parts, manage offsets, and perform basic deburring or finishing steps as needed, while following all safety policies and PPE guidelines. We have two available shifts: day and swing, with training on day shift first.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions, including GD&T.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Identify process issues and suggest continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine work pieces to specification on production basis.
  • Load work piece manually or using hoist; secure work piece in workholding device or load automatic feeding device.
  • Start and monitor machining operations, making offsets and adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect and measure machined work pieces - using instruments such as optical comparator, fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometer - to verify conformance to specifications.
  • May perform basic deburring, sanding, filing, or finishing of machined parts.
  • May clean machined components using approved cleaning or degreasing methods.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Follow all safety policies and required PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and address process issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Tend to one or more machine tools to produce parts to specification.
  • Load and secure workpieces, and manage feeding devices as needed.

We are seeking a driven, hands-on CNC Mill Machinist to join our ever-growing company and team.

Qualifications


  • +3 years minimum CNC machining experience or Apprenticeship or College certificate of completion

  • Basic computer skills such as e-mailing, opening, and printing documents and navigating windows/internet explorer.

  • Working knowledge of CNC Mill G‑code and M‑code programming.


Physical Demands


  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds by self in safe manner.


We have two positions available: 1 Day Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm and 1 Swing Shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm (first 60 days will be on day shift training).
