Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to set up and operate CNC laser-cutting equipment used to produce precision sheet-metal components. The ideal candidate will have TRUMPF TruLaser experience and the ability to read blueprints, inspect parts, and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities include loading programs, verifying material specs, and performing quality inspections. 1st or 2nd shift availability with hourly pay of $20–$28 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC laser equipment and reading blueprints.
• TRUMPF TruLaser experience strongly preferred; other CNC laser experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser-cutting machines.
• Review work orders, blueprints, nesting layouts, and material specifications.
• Verify material type, grade, thickness, and sheet size before production.
• Monitor laser-cutting process and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot alarms, cutting issues, programs, nozzles, and lenses.
• Perform first-piece and finished-part inspections.
• Check parts for dimensions and edge quality.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for inspection.
• Organize finished parts for shipment or further processing.
