Job summary

KCC Companies in Louisville, KY, seeks a CNC Laser Operator to set up and run laser cutting equipment safely and efficiently. You will read drawings, verify tolerances, adjust feeds, and perform preventive maintenance to keep production flowing.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CNC experience (2 years preferred), and the ability to read blueprints and measure with calipers and micrometers. ESOP, benefits, and quarterly reviews support a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of using common measuring equipment for sheet metal.
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and process instructions.
• High school diploma or GED REQUIRED.
• Ability to distinguish material types (aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel) REQUIRED.
• Demonstrated reliability and attendance REQUIRED.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities REQUIRED.
• 2 years CNC machine experience DESIRED.
• Associates degree in Mechanical Technology DESIRED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Laser machine according to procedures.
• Verify safety features are functioning at shift start and report issues.
• Follow PPE and safety requirements.
• Review work instructions, prints, and routers for each job.
• Use measuring devices to check tolerances and ensure accuracy.
• Work with team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Perform operator preventive maintenance on machine and tooling.
• May program CNC press brake operations as needed.
• Read part drawings and understand tolerance requirements; lift up to 50 lbs.
