Job summary

Addison in Orlando, FL seeks a dedicated CNC Laser Operator Associate to support the Sheet Metal Department. You will assist with material handling, staging, and basic cleanup while learning CNC laser operations and safety protocols.

You’ll work with senior operators to verify specs and maintain production flow in a fast-paced shop environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and a willingness to learn CNC equipment and related software.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic math skills and a strong willingness to learn CNC equipment.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and software, specifically Office 365 and Fourth Shift.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain teamwork.
• Maintain an excellent safety record.
• Physical Demands: stand, lift up to 40 lbs, repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with material handling, staging sheets, and unloading cut parts from the machine.
• Remove tabs and micro-joints, deburr and organize parts per travelers.
• Learn basic machine operation principles including laser safety zones and PPE usage.
• Support seniors by cleaning slats, emptying scrap bins, and keeping a clean area.
• Verify material type and thickness against job travelers using tape measures and calipers.
• Collaborate across departments to maintain production material flow.
