KCC Companies in Louisville, KY is seeking a CNC II – Laser Operator on the 3rd shift to set up and run our laser machine per established procedures. You will verify safety features, read job prints, and maintain quality and productivity.

This role requires reading drawings, using gauges, and adhering to PPE standards. We value reliability, continuous improvement, and teamwork, with opportunities for growth and participation in our ESOP program.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings and process instructions.
• Ability to use common measuring equipment for sheet metal.
• High school diploma or GED REQUIRED.
• Ability to distinguish material types (aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel).
• Demonstrated reliability (attendance, conformance) REQUIRED.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities.
• 2 years CNC machine experience DESIRED.
• Associates degree in Mechanical Technology DESIRED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser machine per procedures.
• Verify safety features at shift start and report issues.
• Read work instructions, prints and routers for each job.
• Use measuring devices to verify accuracy.
• Work with shift leader to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Perform operator preventive maintenance of machine and tooling.
• May program the operation of a CNC press brake.
• Maintain safety in laser operation and sheet metal handling.
