Job summary

Northern Manufacturing Co. is seeking a qualified Laser Operator for the 3rd shift (7:30pm–6:00am, Mon–Thu) to set up, program, and run CNC laser systems for cutting and fabricating parts.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of CNC operator experience, with strong math, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting skills. The role includes forklift use and routine preventive maintenance.

Northern Manufacturing, a worldwide leader in stainless steel fabrication, is seeking a qualified Laser Operator to join our team on 3rd shift.

3rd Shift Hours: 7:30pm to 6:00am, Monday-Thursday

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set-up, program, and operate CNC flat and tube lasers to cut and fabricate parts.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and any trouble shooting required.
• Monitor machine performance.
• Inspect parts for inaccuracies or complications and discuss any issues with supervisor.
• Responsible for handling material at workstation and loading and unloading material from the machine.
• Maintain a solid understanding of different material types and thicknesses.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Assist with other tasks throughout the shop including break out, operating a forklift, etc.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
