The Northern Manufacturing Co., Inc is seeking a qualified Laser Operator for the second shift in Oak Harbor, Ohio. The role focuses on setting up, programming, and operating CNC lasers to fabricate parts, with a 45-hour workweek from 3:30pm to 1:00am.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year experience as a CNC operator, or strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math and measurement reading.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, program, and operate CNC flat and tube lasers to cut and fabricate parts.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot as needed.
• Inspect parts for inaccuracies or issues and discuss with supervisor.
• Handle material at workstation and load/unload material from the machine.
• Maintain understanding of different material types and thicknesses.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Assist with other shop tasks including break out and forklift operation.
