1st Employment is seeking an experienced CNC/CO2 Laser Operator to join its fast-paced fabrication shop in Conway, AR. The role requires operating and monitoring CNC and CO2 laser equipment, reading drawings, maintaining quality, and meeting tight customer turnaround times.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of machine shop experience, may have a technical trade certificate, and can work safely in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of machine shop experience.
• Technical trade certificate may substitute for part of the required experience.
• CNC or laser operating experience preferred.
• Program editing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and production specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the workplace.
• Ability to regularly lift or move materials, including items weighing 50+ pounds.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and work safely around shop hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and CO2 laser equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Maintain quality standards while meeting a 48-hour customer turnaround.
• Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and production specifications.
• Identify and resolve issues related to fabrication and machining.
• Monitor finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Make adjustments or changes as needed to maintain production requirements.
• Multi-task and quickly shift priorities when needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and ask for assistance when necessary.
• Assist coworkers and contribute to a productive team environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
