Work Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm

SUMMARY

The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Trumpf CNC laser equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth production flow, precision, and safety on the shop floor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

Set up and operate Trumpf CNC lasers according to production schedules.

Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate part fabrication.

Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on laser equipment.

Use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tapes, gauges) to verify part quality.

Safely unload and handle parts after cutting operations.

Occasionally operate a forklift to move materials.

Maintain productivity standards while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Follow all OSHA, company safety, and equipment maintenance procedures.

Promote teamwork, positive communication, and adherence to company values.

Follow all verbal and written instructions, as well as safety and quality protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience operating CNC laser equipment (Trumpf experience preferred).

Familiarity with automation and CNC troubleshooting.

Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist where needed to support production demands.

Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Familiar with varying types of sheet metal (aluminum, galvanized, galvanneal, stainless, etc.).

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Excellent judgment, decision-making, and communication skills.
