Job summary

Westaff is seeking a Machinist/CNC Laser Operator for the Warwick RI area with an immediate start. Location: Warwick RI • Shift: Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:00pm • Pay: $25/hr + $2/hr shift differential.

You will set up, program, and operate CNC laser systems, read blueprints, inspect parts, and train teammates while maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions.
• CNC setup, programming, and machine operation experience.
• Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Familiarity with metric blueprint dimensioning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser and metal fabrication equipment.
• Program and edit CNC machines as needed.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and make machine/tooling adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance and operational checks.
• Train team members on machine and department operations.
• Move materials and operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
