Job summary

EverStaff, LLC in Ohio seeks a skilled CNC Laser Cutting & Fabrication Technician to operate fiber laser systems and support sheet metal fabrication in a fast-paced environment. You will produce precision components from stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals while upholding quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, loading and unloading metal, setting up machines, inspecting parts with calipers, and coordinating with welding

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment or in metal fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal, stainless steel, carbon steel, or aluminum.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use calipers, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting equipment including fiber laser systems.
• Load, unload, stage, and handle sheet metal materials.
• Cut metals to specified dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers and gauges.
• Ensure dimensions and tolerances meet specifications.
• Conduct secondary fabrication like deburring and grinding.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow procedures.
• Coordinate with welding, fabrication, and assembly teams.
• Identify issues and report to supervisors or maintenance.

CNC Laser Cutting & Fabrication Technician

Pay Rate: $20/hr. - $20/hr.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Laser Cutting & Fabrication Technician to operate CNC laser cutting equipment and support sheet metal fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves producing precision components from stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting equipment, including fiber laser systems.
• Load, unload, stage, and properly handle sheet metal materials.
• Cut stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metal materials to specified dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and cut lists.
• Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall part quality.
• Perform secondary fabrication processes including deburring, grinding, forming, and material preparation.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Follow established production, quality control, and safety procedures.
• Work closely with welding, fabrication, assembly, and other manufacturing teams.
• Identify production or equipment issues and communicate problems to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment, working in metal fabrication, or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience working with sheet metal, stainless steel, carbon steel, and/or aluminum.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating fiber laser equipment.
• Experience with Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, Mazak, or similar CNC laser systems.
• CNC machine operation experience.
• CAD/CAM or nesting software experience.
• Press brake, forming, or general sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Experience with deburring, grinding, or other secondary fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
