Job summary

Essai Test Solutions, Inc. in Chandler, AZ, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advantest America, Inc., seeks an experienced CNC Machinist for day shift. The role requires extensive 5-axis CNC mill experience, with capability across Hermle, Matsuura and Mikron systems.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, proving out programs, performing quality checks per the inspection plan, and maintaining equipment. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years’ experience with CNC mills and manual equipment; 5-axis experience preferred.
• Experience with grinders, lathes, EDM and waterjet is a plus.
• Strong reading of GD&T and the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Able to read and understand blueprints and technical docs in English.
• Capable of troubleshooting CAM, PostP, programmer and machine-related problems.
• Knowledge of advanced machine capabilities (spindle probes, table lasers).
• Self-motivated; able to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Able to communicate well verbally and in writing in English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute production plan per manufacturing schedule and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance to manufacturing and automation processes.
• Maintain quality per Inspection Plan and keep quality records.
• Perform daily preventive machine maintenance and supply necessary needs.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems; conduct root-cause analysis.
• Establish pallet quantities for each job to optimize automation output.
• Complete all other related or assigned tasks from management.

Job description

This position is for Essai Test Solutions, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Advantest America, Inc. located in Chandler, AZ.

DAY SHIFT: 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set-up Hermle, Matsuura and Mikron 5 axis machines capable of multiple jobs running together, prove out programs, program trouble shooting and debugging.
• Operates and control process on all products produced on all machine shop equipment for high mix low volume dynamic.
• Responsible for executing production plan according to manufacturing schedule and work instructions.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance to manufacturing and automation process.
• Responsible for controlling quality of product according to Inspection Plan and maintaining quality records.
• Maintains and performs daily preventive machine maintenance and supplies all machine related needs.
• Trouble shoot and solve minor to complex problems and issues. Conduct major root cause analysis.
• Establish pallet quantities required for each job for best automation output.

Responsible for completing all other related or un-related assigned tasks or duties from management

Minimum Qualification Requirement:

• 10 to 20 years’ experience with CNC Mills and Manual equipment, 5 axis experience would be a plus (+)
• Experience with Grinders, Lathes, EDM and WaterJet would be a plus (+)
• Advanced understanding of G.D. & T. (Knows how to measure using proper measuring instruments.)
• Can arrive at sound conclusions by identifying the significant from the less significant.
• Able to read & understand blueprints, customer drawings, SOP’s, W I’s and all technical info in English
• Should be able to troubleshoot program problems related to CAM, PostP, Programmer, & Machine.
• Sound knowledge of advanced machine capabilities i.e. spindle probes and table lasers.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
• Flexible and able to provide solutions to our unique advanced challenges.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
• Able to speak, read & write in English, Bilingual is a plus (+)
• Able to communicate well in both verbal and written communications.
