You will inspect complex parts using CMMs, optical comparators, and micrometers. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in quality inspection, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to zero defects

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of quality inspection in a precision CNC machining environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspection Operations: perform FAI, in-process, and final outgoing inspections for complex parts.
• Precision Measurement: use optical comparators, vision systems, CMMs, and micrometers.
• Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: read engineering drawings and specs, ensure GD&T compliance.
• Continuous Improvement: support quality initiatives and maintain calibration schedules.

In this role, you will be responsible for verifying the dimensional and visual integrity of intricate, micro-machined components designed for demanding industries such as aerospace. The ideal candidate has a strong background in precision measurement, a deep understanding of machining tolerances, and familiarity with GD&T.

Job Duties

• Inspection Operations: Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final outgoing inspections for complex parts.
• Precision Measurement: Utilize advanced inspection tools and equipment-including optical comparators, Keyence vision systems, CMMs, high-precision micrometers, dial bore gauges, and drop indicators.
• Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: Read and meticulously interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications, ensuring full compliance GD&T.
• Continuous Improvement: Support shop-floor quality initiatives, maintain calibration schedules for hand tools, and promote a culture of zero defects.

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of quality inspection experience within a precision CNC machining environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in reading blueprints and applying GD&T standards.
• Hands-on experience operating precision hand tools and advanced metrology equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.
